WordCamp Philly Moving to Spring and Evolving

June 25, 2013 in Events, News, WordCamp Philly

It’s that time of the year again when we all start thinking about WordCamp Philly. For the past three years WordCamp Philly has taken place in the Fall, but it’s time for a change. The Organizers have decided to move WordCamp Philly to the Spring, which will be in 2014. The Fall is always a very busy time of the year. This year is going to be especially busy with events like WordCamp Baltimore, Boston, Europe, and PressNomics 2 all scheduled within 30-days of each other. Someone needed to move so we decided it was time to move our event to the Spring.

We are also planning on evolving the event. WordCamp Philly has a reputation as being one of the top WordCamps in the country every year. We like to think of our event as a leader in making a WordPress focused event innovative and fun. We’ve decided to review the event structure from top to bottom and really change up the next event. I can’t announce any specifics, as it’s way too early in the planning process, but we wanted to tease you a little with what’s to come.

To keep up with news concerning this event be sure to subscribe to this blog and join our Philly WordPress Meetup group. More soon!

  1. Of course, a springtime WordCamp Philly means just one thing… a WordPress-themed Easter egg hunt! (amirite?)

  2. So there is no WordCamp this year (2013)? It’s getting pushed back to spring (around april-ish?) of 2014?
